It is crucial that aviation hydrants and transmission piping systems are efficiently designed.
Prosource provides a broad range of engineering and technical support to the petrochemical, gas and aviation industries, either as individual consultants or small project teams.
Over the last two decades Prosource has been at the forefront in developing control systems for airport refuelling systems at both major and minor commercial airports within Australia, Asia and the South West Pacific.

Prosource has designed, project managed and on occasions constructed aviation hydrant systems and transmission pipelines at many locations throughout Australia and Asia.
Prosource has extensive local knowledge in Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, and China with some of our engineers speaking the local language.
Our engineering team is experienced with both Australian Standards and International Standards for pipeline design, construction, operations and maintenance.

All assignments undertaken by Prosource are conducted using project management principles tailored to ensure that client deliverables meet time, cost and quality requirements.
Prosource uses specialised software to ensure complete management solutions.
Our company comprises a full-time working director, supported by engineering, drafting and office staff and has close alliances with other specialist consultants in Chemical, Environmental, Civil and Structural Engineering, enabling us to provide total project solutions for our clients.
Prosource personnel have the qualifications and experience to ensure the design/engineering process is effectively integrated with other construction activities.
A large proportion of projects undertaken by Prosource have been constructed in fully operational facilities, adding an extra layer of complexity in project scheduling, installation and commissioning. Prosource has developed an effective approach to dealing with these aspects.
An example of continuing success in this area is the "Air BP" world wide "Engineering Excellence Award" in Design, Innovation and Project Management for the construction of the "fast track" pipeline connecting the domestic and international hydrants via a 1.6 km transmission pipeline. This pipeline was micro-tunnelled under two operational taxiways and the main runway without disruption to the operation of the airport or aircraft refuelling services at any time.
Our HSE department can prepare and submit safety and environmental plans and other documentation required by the regulators for project approvals.

Hazard Analysis Techniques offer a means of systematically assessing plant safety under normal and abnormal conditions. The majority of HAZOP/HAZAN has been in the chemical and petro-chemical industries.
However the principles and processes can be adopted and applied to any plant where a hazard is present or may develop as a result of the materials being processed or there has been or will be a change in the operating environment. Recently completed HAZOP includes:

Stress analysis is an engineering discipline that determines the stress in materials and structures subjected to static or dynamic forces or loads.

Process piping and power piping are analysed to ensure the allowable pipe stress is not exceeded under the appropriate code.
This analysis is done with the assistance of a specialised finite element pipe stress analysis program.

Hydrostatic pressure and strength testing of pipelines is carried out by our affiliated company Hydro Testing Services Pty Ltd (HTS).
HTS is a NATA endorsed laboratory, and offers expert advice in the planning and carrying out of hydrostatic testing. HTS is a joint venture with Askpen Pty Ltd, Hydro Pipe Pty Ltd, and Prosource Pty Ltd.
